Krystal Speck grew up in Muskoka, surrounded by tall trees & big blue lakes.
Now settled in Toronto, she draws inspiration from both the rural and urban
landscape. Krystal studied ceramic & textile design at the Ontario College of Art & Design (BDes: Material Art & Design). Since 2007, she has been developing a line of graphic & colourful tableware and art objects for the home in her Junction studio.
Avril Loreti designs textile patterns for her collection of modern home décor pieces. Inspired by antique market excursions, vintage pattern design, and complex colour schemes, Avril’s aim is to create and share a collection that inspires artful living. Avril graduated from The University of Toronto and Sheridan College in 2001 with a degree in Art and Art History and has since made Toronto her home.
Krystal and Avril first met in 2008 and have always had a fondness and appreciation of each other’s work. This will be there first collaboration.
